Organizers Omnix International Projects 20 Percent Increase in Attendance from Infrastructure, Energy, and Media Professionals

International design leaders are set to descend on Dubai for Autodesk University Extension (AUx) Dubai 2014, one of the Middle East's leading design events, organizers Omnix International announced today.

Autodesk is one of the world's most widely-used 3D design, engineering, and entertainment software, used by design professionals such as engineers, architects, digital artists, students, and hobbyists.

Demonstrating the strong interest from the Middle East's design community, Omnix International is predicting a 20 percent increase at the third annual AuX Dubai. Held under the theme of "Learn, Connect, Explore", AUx Dubai 2014 will run on December 17th at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).

Sajan Sadiq, Marketing Manager, Omnix International - CAE Division, said: "AUx Dubai 2014 is in its third consecutive year, and is set to reach new heights in attendance and sponsors, demonstrating the increasing rise of Dubai as a global design and engineering hub."

Event attendees can demonstrate the latest 3D design technologies, advance their Autodesk skills at classes taught by professionals, network and share ideas with industry professionals from around the world, and witness the predictions of thought leaders on the future of the design industry.

Key speakers will include Jon Pittman, Vice President of Corporate Strategy, Autodesk, who will present a keynote speech on "The Future of How Things Are Made."

Taking experiences from his 20-plus-year career in the CAD field, Robert Green, Owner, Robert Green Consulting, will present on "Getting the Most from Your Software." Cadalyst magazine columnist Lynn Allen and Autodesk's Technical Evangelist will present "Get Current! AutoCAD 2015 New Features."

Attendees can learn about the benefits of Business Information Modelling (BIM) software on construction-related industries, and how Autodesk software can help to simplify designs in the energy sector, and boost productivity and accelerate performance in media-related fields.

AUx Dubai is part of "Autodesk University", an annual series of Autodesk in-person and virtual user conferences that is ongoing worldwide for more than two decades.
